Place Card

Use this template if you are going to create a folded place card.

The blue line marks the “safe area”. It is 1/8“ inside the edge of your

printed envelope. You should never put any wording, logos, or other

important art closer than 1/8” from the edge, or it may get trimmed.

The dotted line marks where the card is

folded. Please do not include this in your file.

Simply put two marks (one on each side) to

show the fold location.

The orange area is the bleed area. It overlaps the

printed card by at least 1/8” on all sides. Your

artwork should fill this area if you expect the printed

artwork to go all the way to the edge of your

finished folder.

If your software does not do this for you,

make your document page size large enough

to make room for crop marks and bleed.

The grey area is the size of your graphic after it has been trimmed.

This sample document is setup as 3.5 x 4” which is the setup for

a 3.5 X 2” folded card.

You may choose to print any sized piece you wish but

please follow the guidelines in this example for page

size, crop, and bleed.

Please do not put a black box on your artwork

to show the edge of your card. Instead, put

crop marks on all four corners.
