his/her duration of studies at McHenry County College. This can b e done with the applicant’s personal

savings or by sponsorship. Sponsors m ust guarantee full financial respon sibility for the support of the

student during his/her program and complete Form I-134.

Affidavit of Financial Support and supporting bank statement(s) must be less than six months old. T he college cannot

 Application F ee Include a one-time nonrefund able $15 fee using a debit/credit card

 Photograph One passport sized photograph.

 Letter of Intent A letter in your o wn words stating yo ur intention to

enroll in a specific program at MCC on a full-time basis

Note: 12 credit hours (per semester) are required for full-time

status.

Financial Support financial support. This form must be signed a nd notarized.

 Form I-134 Affidavit of Support Financial support is being provided by a U.S. citizen or U.S. legal

permanent resident.

you, pages 1 and 3.

College/University to the Admissions Office.

International student Office advisor. They can either mail or fax

the pre-transfer form.

F-1 International Student Estimated Expenses

In order to receive an I-20 document for international admission to McHenry County College, U.S. federal

immigration regulations require that international applicants provid e proof of adequate financial resources to

live and study in the U.S. for at least one full acad emic year. The tuition rate for all F-1 international students

will be assessed at the foreign tuition rate, which is currently $440.41 per credit hour.

When calculating expenses, please keep in mind that students hol ding F-1 non-immigrant stat us are allowed

to work a maximum of 20 hours per week on-campu s during fall/spring semesters. Off-campus employm ent

may be authorized after one academic year with g overnmental approval, if the student is main taining lawful

F-1 status and is in goo d academic stan ding. Any off-campu s emp loyment must be directly related to the

student’s field of study indicated on his/her I-20 document. The student should not view employment as a

significant source of financial support while attending McHenry County College.

International tuition based on 12 credit hours per semester at $440.41 per credit

hour (subject to change without notice by official action of the District 528 Board

of Trustees)
