Dear Colleague:
We have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the “XIII International Service-Learning
Conference” which will take place on August 26-27th in Buenos Aires, in the frame of the VII
International Service-Learning Week organized jointly by Educación Solidaria National Program,
Argentina Ministry of Education, and CLAYSS.
The Conference has become the most important annual gathering in the Latin American sphere
for experts and institutions promoting the pedagogical proposal of service-learning. Its main goals are to:
- Offer service-learning training to teachers, principals, provincial officer and NGO leaders.
- Promote the exchange of ideas and experiences among schools and Universities developing
service-learning projects in Argentina and Latin America.
- Help strengthening the networks between civil society and the educational system to the
benefit of a better education for all.
Service-learning leaders from Latin America, USA and Europe will be participating in the
Conference. Please find enclosed a tentative agenda.

MONDAY 23rd of August:
• 12am to 5pm. Site visits plan to Service-Learning projects. (Optional activity with
additional cost).
TUESDAY 24th of August:
• 10am to 5pm. REDIVU-CLAYSS COURSE; “MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGIC
PLANNING OF HIGHER EDUCATION PROJECTS”. University of Buenos Aires’s
Economic Science Faculty. Av. Córdoba 2122. Members of REDIVU only. For more

WEDNESDAY 25th of August:
10am to 5pm. REDIVU-CLAYSS COURSE; “MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGIC

Buenos Aires’s Economic Science Faculty.
Breakfast with member schools of the “Creer para ver” (“Believe to See”) Program.
12.30am to 5pm. X IBERO-AMERICAN SERVICE-LEARNING NETWORK MEETING.
