bearing on your suitability or fit with Greek life, should you have interest in the future.

for the award. As stated in the elig ibility requirements, we are currently only considering
in-state students. This is because a major part of our selection process includes an in
person meeting in the second round.
The decision is not, therefore, a negative assessment of your skills or accomplishments.
Nor does it have any bearing on your suitability or fit with Greek life, should you have
interest in the future.

Rush Event Invitation:
Dear _____
Thank you for your application to the GaTech Delta Chi Scholarship! We had a large
number of exceptional applicants, and are pleased to inform you that you've made it to
the second round! We would like to cordially invite you to an informal event with other
applicants so we can get to know you more.
We've arranged an informal outing to see the Atlanta Braves play the NY Mets on July
16. Please know that this event, or our decision on scholarship recipient in no way
obligates you to join our organization.
If you are able to attend, please arrive at our house by 6 pm on July 16 so that we can
carpool together. Tickets will be provided and we anticipate returning by 11pm. While
we do not anticipate this being an issue, please note that alcohol at this ev ent is strictly
prohibited. Any applicant who brings alcohol or arrives intoxicated will be asked to
leave and will no longer be considered for the scholarship.
As it will give us an opportunity to meet and learn more about you, participation in this
event is strongly encouraged in order to remain eligible for the scholarship. However, we
will distribute a supplementary information form upon request to those who are unable to
attend due to prior engagements, distance, or personal em ergencies. In addition, we
would like to reiterate that while we hope that you are considering rushing in the fall,
your participation in rush in no way influences your eligibility for this scholarship. If you
are curious about Greek life, please come prepared with questions, and our members will
be happy to speak candidly with you about their experiences.
