SIGNATURE RELEASE AUTHORIZATION
AND
INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
FOR RECIPIENTS
This agreement is entered into this ___________ day of __________________________ between Federal Express
Europe, Inc.(hereinafter „FedEx“) and _____________________________________________(hereinafter “Recipient”)
RECITALS
FedEx provides a high-priority package delivery service which requires upon delivery obtaining a signature evidencing
package receipt. .
However, Recipient authorizes delivery of his packages to certain designated places without obtaining a signature
by
FedEx
.
Therefore, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the parties hereto agree as follows:
A. Pursuant to FedEx issuance and use of the below listed Release Number of Signature, a package that does not
have a declared value greater than US $ 100 may be released upon FedEx delivery on the place designated by
airbill / air waybill without obtaining a signature.
B. The furnishing by FedEx of a delivery receipt upon which is listed the designated place of delivery and upon
which is entered the below listed release number or signature shall constitute proof of delivery in accordance
with Recipients instructions.
C. Upon the furnishing of such proof of delivery, Recipient shall idemnif y FedEx against and hold it harmless from all
claims for liability and expenses related thereto, and further including any attorney's fees or other litigation
costs, arising by reason of loss or damage to any shipments handled by FedEx under the terms of this
Agreement.
D. Recipient shall give FedEx not less than 7 calendar days prior notice of cancellation of this agreement or of the
relocation or closing of Recipient's business. Failure to do so will entitle FedEx to cancel this agreement
unilaterally and immediately.
E. Recipient hereby agrees to hold FedEx harmless and to idemnify FedEx from any loss caused by it’s release under
the release number agreement which violates any one of the advance release authorization restrictions.
This agreement, executed as of the date appearing above, shall not become binding upon FedEx until written approval
has been entered below.
