General. GSA 184A shall be prepared by the contracting officer or his authorized representative. This form shall be used

on all construction contracts awarded under new construction and repair and alteration programs regardless of Delivery

Method. The GSA 184A provides part of the necessary documentation on construction progress. A copy of the form shall

be completed promptly prior to payment requests. The information provided on this form shall be kept current. Bonds

should be notated as the first item and the amount should be recorded only in Column (2) and recorded in Column 5 once

paid. Payment of the Bonds is recorded separately on the 184 item 11.

Specific. The form is generally self-explanatory. However, care must be exercised in filling out the items. Additional

guidance follows:

Column 1 - List the Work Breakdown structure of the original contract. For Design Build contracts list design components

separate from the actual construction work. For Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) Design Phase Services

should be listed as an individual component.

Column 2 - Total Value of Work Item in contract.

Column 3 - Sub-column (a) cumulative amount completed through previous report; Sub-Column (b) current amount

completed since previous report.

Column 4 - Value of Materials stored materials and accepted by the Government during construction phase.

Column 5 - Value of Work in place and stored materials.
