In Text Citations
When you quoteor paraphrasefrom a source, you need givecredit to that source by inserting a citation.
This citation typicallyconsists oftheauthor’sname, year ofpublication,and pagenumber in parentheses.
Example:
The articlegoes on to say that “Peopledon't do derby just for exercisebut usuallybecause it becomes a
part ofwhothey are” (Fagundes,2012, p. 1098).
Long quotes
Quotations longer than 40 words need to beset apart from therest ofthetext.Do not usequotation
marks.Thequoteshould bein a newparagraph and set 1inch from theleft margin (Tabtwice).When the
quoteis complete, put thein-text citation after it theway you woulddo for any other quote.
References Page
This is a separate pageat theend of your paper. Each citation in thetext must belisted on the
Referencespage; each listing ontheReferencespage must appear in thetext.
The titleofthepage shouldbecentered and labeledReferences.
Alltext is double-spaced, just like therest ofthepaper.
Indent thesecond andsubsequent linesofcitationsby 0.5inchtocreate a hanging indent.

publishers willprovide an article's DOI on thefirst pageof the document.
