Come to one of the auditions and show us your
routine.
Some ideas for your talent: Dance Routine,
Singing , Comedy , Magic , Musical Performance,
Martial Arts, Juggling , Acting Skit, Extreme Hula
Hooping, Miming, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, or
some other talent.
Kate Sessions Elementary - Talent Show Rules
Please look carefully at the Talent Show rules and required dates of attendance before signing
and returning the registration form.

The show is open to Kate Sessions students in grades K-5.
Soloists and groups of up to six students are eligible.
Students may perform in only one act.
Each student must return a completed and signed Talent Show Registration Form when they
come to audition and no later than 05/16/2013.
Students MUST attend one audition and both dress rehearsals in order to participate in
Talent Show.
Rated G please! Lyrics, costumes and performances should be compliant with school
policy and appropriate for all audiences. Music and performances will be screened for
appropriateness.
All acts will be limited to 2 minutes maximum time. Please plan accordingly.
All equipment for the student’s act must be provided by the student. If your act requires
recorded accompanying music, the music must be: • Provided to the Talent Show
Committee at the time of the auditions. (The CD will not be returned). • Brought to the
auditions on a CD labeled with the student’s name(s), song name, and artist\composer. •
Edited to be no longer than 2 minutes in length. • Recorded as an MP3.
Singing acts must use karaoke version of song
Auditions, Rehearsals and Performances will be held at Sessions Elementary Auditorium.
Music, costumes, and props must be ready at auditions. Piano and sound system will be
provided.
Students will only need to attend ONE audition day.
All students will SIGN IN with a Talent Show committee member upon arrival, and SIGN OUT
when leaving the audition and rehearsal.
Audition: Monday, May 13th (2:00 pm) or Thursday, May 16th (2:15 pm)
Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, May23rd @ 2:15p.m. .
Talent Show: Thursday, May 30th @ 6:00 p.m. MAIN PERFORMANCE

I have read and agree to ALL of the Kate Sessions Elementary Talent Show Rules and I give permission
for my child __________________________ to audition and participate in the Sessions Elementary Talent
Show. I understand that my child must attend the dress rehearsals or will be eliminated from the
program. I understand that because of time, a desire to have a variety of talents and groupings
(individual, partners, small groups), and grade levels represented during the showcase, not everyone
who auditions will be chosen to participate. Contestants will acknowledge there are risks associated
with this event, which include, but are not limited to personal injury, risk of loss or damage to personal
property. Contestants voluntarily enter the Sessions Elementary Talent Show contest and in doing so
assumes all of these risks. Contestants upon entry of this contest and upon signing this form hereby
agrees to waive and release Sessions Elementary and all it’s board, directors, volunteers, sponsors,
vendors as well as any of their affiliates and successors from any liabilities of any kind arising from this
event. Contestant hereby swears that to the best of their knowledge they are physically and
mentally fit to perform in this event.
