     The Poughkeepsie City School District has reason to believe that your child,

entitled to attend the District’s schools at the District’s expense.
Pursuant to applicable law and regulations, you are required to present to the

child’s right to attend the District’s schools at the School District’s expense.  The District 
accepts the following as a valid proof of residence: a current utility bill, a credit card 
statement, a rent receipt, a copy of a lease agreement showing name, address and 
signature of both landlord and tenant, a notarized letter from a landlord, or some type of 
printed document that requires a response from the recipient (usually financial) and for 
which, if a response is not received, will result in some type of penalty.

verification.
