Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Albert Gallatin Area School District Policy #200 requires that all students entering

the school district must prove residency.

The district shall require one or more of the following documents as official proof of

actual residency:

1. Utility bills indicating payment of utilities due to occupancy of a residence within

the district.

2. Tax statements or tax returns indicating an address within the district.

3. Check stubs for wages, public assistance, Social Security, or other source of

income indicating an address within the district.

4. Payment, or proof of liability for payment, of municipal and school district taxes

for an improved property (the improved property should be one in which the

person is residing) within the district.

5. Occupancy permit issued by the local municipality for the residence in question.

6. Any other documentation acceptable to school officials which provides

satisfactory evidence of an address, in which the person is residing, within the

district.

Failure to provide proof of actual residency within the district as set forth above within a

sixty (60) day period may result in the student being removed from the school rolls and

the parent, guardian or custodian being required to pay the regular tuition rate as

established by the district for the period of actual attendance.

The 2015-2016 secondary student (Grade 7-12) rate (based on 180 Day school year) is as

follows:

Secondary Annual Tuition Regular Education: $ 9,636.82 ($53.53 Daily Rate)

Secondary Annual Tuition Special Education: $19,273.64 ($107.07 Daily Rate)
